Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of spirituality, self-control, and financial literacy on financial satisfaction with financial behavior as a mediating variable. The research employs a quantitative approach using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) on 116 respondents in Bojonegoro Regency. The findings reveal that spirituality does not directly affect financial satisfaction but has a significant indirect effect through financial behavior, showing a full mediation role. Self-control demonstrates both direct and indirect effects, indicating partial mediation. Meanwhile, financial literacy influences financial satisfaction only indirectly through financial behavior, also reflecting full mediation. These results confirm that financial behavior serves as a crucial pathway bridging psychological, spiritual, and knowledge-based factors with financial satisfaction. The contribution of this study lies in its theoretical integration of spirituality, self-control, and financial literacy into a comprehensive framework for understanding financial satisfaction. Practically, it underscores the importance of financial education that incorporates spiritual and psychological values to promote responsible financial behavior and enhance individual and household well-being. Contextually, the study enriches the literature by providing empirical evidence from Bojonegoro Regency, a unique socio-cultural setting often overlooked in prior research, thereby broadening insights into financial behavior in diverse cultural environments. Keywords: Financial Behavior; Spirituality; Self-Control; Financial Literacy; Financial Satisfaction
