Abstract
This research examines the implementation process of QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) as a financial technology innovation by the Hayam Wuruk Perbanas Surabaya University Cooperative in its operational activities. This research employs a descriptive research methodology to examine the utilisation of QRIS in university cooperatives. Data were gathered through interviews with members and management of the cooperative. The findings indicate that the utilisation of QRIS as a financial technology implementation represents the initial phase of the digitalisation process, with the potential to enhance the efficiency of cooperative operations and serve as the cooperative's inaugural foray into the adoption of financial technology in the contemporary digital age. In the implementation process, cooperatives must register as merchants in the OVO application through various steps. However, they encounter several obstacles, including a lack of payment verification devices, unstable internet networks, and the continued prevalence of cash. To address these challenges, cooperatives have adopted measures such as using the OVO app on cashier devices to monitor daily transactions. This research offers insights into the challenges and strategies in adopting digital payment technology in a college cooperative environment. Keywords: Fintech, QRIS, Implementattion, Cooperative
