Abstract
This study aims to identify and analyze the factors that influence the interest of the community in Benjeng and Balongpanggang Districts, Gresik Regency, to save in Islamic Banks. Several factors studied include the level of public trust in Islamic banks, public knowledge of Islamic banks, product variations and innovations, and location and accessibility of services. The research method used is quantitative with data collection techniques through questionnaires and interviews distributed to 50 respondents spread across the two sub-districts. The data obtained were then analyzed using descriptive statistical methods. The results of the study indicate that the low interest of the community in saving at Islamic Banks is caused by several main factors. First, the lack of trust in the transparency and operations of Islamic Banks causes doubts among the community. Second, the level of public knowledge about the concept and products of Islamic banking is still low, so they tend to choose conventional banks that are more familiar. Third, limited product variations and innovations make Islamic Banks less competitive compared to conventional banks. Fourth, the accessibility of Islamic banking services, especially in rural areas, is still inadequate, which hinders people from using these services. Based on these findings, this study provides several recommendations for Islamic Banks to increase interest in saving among the community, such as increasing Islamic financial education and literacy, product diversification, increasing transparency, and expanding service access. The implications of this study are expected to contribute to the development of more effective strategies for Islamic banking in Indonesia
