Abstract
This study aims to examine the effect of inflation, interest rates, exchange rates and firm size on stock returns in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The sample consists of 56 companies over a five-year observation period. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling and data analysis is conducted using multiple linear regression with the IBM SPSS Statistic 25 for Windows test tool. This research adopts a quantitative approach. The data used is secondary data obtained from financial reports and relevant economic indicators of companies listed on the IDX for the 2019–2023 period. The results show that simultaneously, inflation, interest rates, exchange rates, and firm size significantly affect stock returns. Partially, inflation and interest rates have significant negative effect on stock returns, while exchange rates and firm size have no effect on stock returns.
