Abstract
This research aims to analyzes the role of financial literacy, business experience on the performance of East Java MSMEs in the Digital Transformation Era. This quantitative research employed a survey questionnaire as the primary data collection method, complemented by in-depth interviews for model verification. The questionnaire, adapted from previous studies, measured business performance, financial literacy, digital transformation, and business experience. Purposive and cluster sampling were used to select MSMEs in the East Java metropolitan area. Purposive sampling focused on businesses relevant to the research objectives, while cluster sampling divided the population into regions. The results of construct validity and reliability testing indicate that the research instruments used in this study are reliable. The findings are consistent with previous studies that highlight the importance of financial literacy, digital transformation, and business experience in improving MSME performance. The results of this study have significant implications for the development of policies and programs that support the growth of MSMEs. However, it should be kept in mind that generalization of the findings of this study needs to be done with caution given the limitations of the sample used. Further research with a broader scope may strengthen these findings.
