Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of business risk on profitability in national private foreign exchange banks listed on the IDX. Liquidity risk measurement uses the LDR and IPR variables, credit risk uses the NPL and APB variables, market risk uses the IRR and PDN variables and operational risk uses the BOPO and FBIR variables. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling. The population in this study was 26 BUSNs listed on the IDX for the quarterly period 2019 to 2023, so that the amount of data processed was 130. The data analysis technique was descriptive analysis and used multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study reveal that simultaneously LDR, IPR, NPL, APB, IRR, PDN, BOPO, and FBIR have a significant effect on ROA. Partially LDR and IPR have a negative but insignificant effect on ROA. NPL, APB, IRR and PDN have a positive but insignificant effect on ROA. BOPO has a significant negative effect on ROA. FBIR has a significant positive effect on ROA. The variable that has the most dominant influence among the eight independent variables is the BOPO variable. Keywords: profitability, ROA, liquidity risk, credit risk, market risk, operational risk
