Abstract

Economic growth is a serious concern for a region because it is a measuring tool for determining economic conditions and what policies should be taken. Many factors influence this increase in economic growth. In this research, there is an influence on the performance of regional development banks (BPD). They examined, namely related to credit distribution, third-party funds (DPK) collection, and profitability on economic growth with PAD as an Intervening Variable. The research method used is panel data regression. The results of this research show that only the credit distribution and Regional Original Income variables have a positive and significant impact on economic growth. Apart from that, PAD has a positive and significant effect in mediating credit distribution on economic growth. It is hoped that the results of this research can be useful input for both regional governments and BPD in increasing economic growth. This research implies that there needs to be positive collaboration and synergy between regional governments and BPD, especially in terms of lending to the community which is expected to stimulate purchasing power and encourage trade and investment so that it can provide a multiplier effect on economic growth.
