Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Financial Literacy and Religiosity on the Well-being of the population in East Java, with Financial Inclusion as a mediating variable. This study is a quantitative study that utilizes primary data. The population under study comprises Muslim individuals in East Java who have an income and are at least 17 years old. The sampling technique employed is purposive sampling, resulting in 346 respondents meeting the criteria as research samples. Data was collected through a survey method by distributing questionnaires via Google Forms. This study employs ratio and Likert scales to measure variables. The data analysis techniques include descriptive and inferential analyses assisted by the Partial Least Square (PLS) program. The research findings indicate that financial literacy has a positive but insignificant influence on financial well-being, while religiosity significantly impacts financial well-being. Additionally, financial inclusion can mediate the influence of financial literacy and religiosity on the financial well-being of the population in East Java.
