Abstract

Financial institutions, both bank and non-bank, play an important role in the transportation and economic development of society and the country. Bank is a business entity or legal entity that carries out activities to collect funds from the public. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of business risk on capital at state-owned commercial banks. In this study, the data source used is secondary data originating from published financial reports for Q1 2018 to Q4 2022 at State-Owned Commercial Banks (BUMN) on the official OJK website. The technique in this study used purposive sampling. The analysis technique in this study uses Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis. The results in this study prove that: (1) LDR partially has a significant effect on CAR; (2) LAR partially has a significant effect on CAR; (3) NPL partially has a significant negative effect on CAR; (4) APB partially has a significant negative effect on CAR; (5) IRR partially has a significant effect on CAR; (6) BOPO partially has a significant negative effect on CAR; and (7) Partially, FBIR has no significant negative effect on CAR.
